Our Regional Coordinator for the Western Pyramid Public Health Region is Richard Everett. Richard's primary focus is assisting in emergency planning and disease surveillance. He may be contacted at: 620-492-1930.
Hamilton County Health Department is a participating member of the Western Pyramid Public Health Region. This regional group was developed several years ago to address the needs of increasing surveillance and preparation for any overwhelming disease or emergency event. The following counties are participants of the Western Pyramid Regional Group: Finney, Greeley, Hamilton, Kearny, Lane, Scott, Wallace, and Wichita.
A primary focus of the group is to provide mass vaccination or prophylaxis to the public in the event of emergency or a bioterrorism event. Bioterrorism is the use of biological agents to attack people, animals, or plant life.
